Irish Hollywood heart-throb leads Friday’s Late Late Show line-up

One of Hollywood’s best-loved leading men is leading the Late Late Show lineup on Friday.

Beloved Irish actor Gabriel Byrne will be settling in for a chat with Patrick Kielty to look back over his decade-spanning career that has seen him star in the iconic hits Into the West and The Usual Suspects.

Gabriel will also delve into his life away from the spotlight and his deep love of Irish literature ahead of his appearance at the Dingle Literary Festival.

He will be joined on the night by Carrie Crowley, who won over legions of Irish fans in The Walsh Sisters following her turn in the Oscar-nominated flick An Cailín Ciúin.

Carrie will chat to Patrick about her return to presenting after 30 years, as well as her passion for the Irish language.

There is sure to be plenty of laughs on the night from British comedian Russell Howard, who is best known for his time on Mock The Week and Never Mind The Buzzcocks.

Russell will chat about his love of Ireland and how he finds inspiration for his work in everyday dramas from modern dating to the things people say on holiday.’

Also, certain to get a giggle out of the audience and those tuning in at home is Jennifer Zamparelli.

Jennifer will chat with Patrick about her podcast, Just Between Us, which examines sex and relationships and will also talk about why she wants to have the conversations people in Ireland aren’t having and bring her brand of wit into the bedroom.

Shamrock Rovers captain Pico Lopez will chat about the past few phenomenal weeks on the pitch.

The High Kings will also be in the studio on the night.

The Late Late Show is on Friday, November 13, at 9.35pm on RTÉ One and RTÉ Player.
