Australia’s newest rich-lister will take time to soak in the enormity of their $50 million lotto win before claiming their prize and rolling into Christmas with some serious extra spending power.
Powerball draw 1539 produced the winning numbers 22, 10, 6, 15, 2, 8 and 7 on Thursdsay. The Powerball was 13.
The only player to match all eight vital numbers, scoring them the entire division one jackpot, is a West Australian who tried their luck using a ticket bought online.

“Our customer service team has been able to contact the winner this morning,” Lotterywest spokesperson Zoe Wender said on Friday.
“The winner is very much in shock, processing this life-changing news, and they will be coming to Lotterywest HQ to claim their prize over the coming weeks when they’re ready.”
Gaming officials are remaining tight-lipped about that state’s fourth division one Powerball winner of 2025 until they can come in and share their story.
“All we know about the winner at the moment is that they’re aware of their win,” Wender said, adding “they’re going to probably spend the weekend really processing the news”.
State’s biggest win in more than three years
The $50m prize is WA’s biggest Powerball win in more than three years, when workmates split $53 million in October 2022.
It is also the first time in a decade the state has recorded four Powerball wins in a single year.
Meanwhile the search for the mystery winner of a $100 million Powerball jackpot has stretched beyond five months.
The winning ticket for the June 12 draw was purchased at Bondi Junction Newsagency, on Sydney’s Oxford Street.
“We’ve had division one winners come forward months and even years after the winning numbers were drawn to claim their prizes,” The Lott’s Matt Hart said earlier this year.
“In most cases, these winners have told us the winning ticket was hiding in plain sight the whole time – in their wallet or purse, in the car console or on the fridge door.”
Powerball draw 1517 had the numbers 28, 10, 3, 16, 31, 14 and 21, while the Powerball number was 6.
