MAFS UK star lifts the lid on unaired Nelly Patel scenes amid Steven Springett’s Hinge drama
We’re still not sure what was more dramatic on the latest series of Married At First Sight – Steven Springett allegedly being on Hinge or Julia-Ruth Smith recoupling with two series 10 grooms after the experiment.
Julia-Ruth ruffled EVERYONE’s feathers when it came to light that not only did she go on holiday with Joe Wood and sleep with him, but she also had plans to go out for drinks with Steven.

Steven’s arguably been the controversial cast member of series 10, after branding his wife Nelly Patel a ‘f–king idiot’, staying on a night out with his co-stars despite his wife having broke a rib and reportedly being on Hinge.
One good thing that came from the Hinge drama though was Nelly quite literally bringing the receipts of Steven’s alleged dating profile (have to chuck that in there because despite the account being verified, he’s insisted he wasn’t on the app).

‘I actually sat with Nelly the night before putting the receipts together,’ Leah Marie Tyrer exclusively told heatworld.
‘Because she found it all out I was like print it out, get it all together because people will worm their way out of that.
‘I had Hinge back in the day and I know full well that you can’t just get verified so that’s why I was so adamant with it.

‘I actually liked Steven. I thought he’s not a bad guy, don’t get me wrong he’s done a lot of bad things and now maybe I see him in a different light than what I did, but he just needed to be honest from day one and he wasn’t and that’s the problem. I think if something happened own it.’
Leah isn’t the only series 10 cast member who has opened up about Steven, with Julia-Ruth insisting he’s ‘fun’ and has a lot of ‘good energy’ off camera.
And following Hinge-gate, there was lots of speculation surrounding the apps that the MAFS cast are allowed on their phones while filming, so of course we had to ask Leah what she had downloaded.

‘I had ASOS, Zara, Spotify, YouTube, Amazon and mobile banking,’ she told us.
‘I was a bit sneaky actually because we were never allowed to speak to people on the outside world but my mate it was her birthday coming up so I sent her £10. Then in the notes of the online banking I was like “Happy birthday miss you!”, just to be able to write something to her.’
