Married at First Sight UK fans were left gobsmacked when Steven finally came clean about using a dating app.
Steven had been matched with Nelly on the E4 reality series, where complete strangers walk down the aisle moments after their first encounter. Their union ultimately crumbled amid growing speculation over Steven’s alleged dating app activity, which he consistently refuted despite mounting doubt from fellow participants.
However, during Friday’s reunion show (November 14), he at last confessed, reports OK!. “I put my hands up to it,” he admitted.
Nelly confronted him directly, asking: “My question is, are you finally going to admit the dating app thing?”
He replied: “I’ve acted cowardly. It’s not nice knowing, actually knowing, how I made you feel.”
Steven finally owned up
MAFS expert Mel Schilling appeared stunned, questioning him: “Despite everything you said that time on the couch, you actually lied, you did have a profile on a dating app?”
“Yeah,” he confirmed. “I have owned up to it now tonight.”
Steven then offered his apologies to Nelly, describing his actions as a “massive regret”.
“I hate the fact that I have done this to you,” he expressed.
Steven said sorry to Nelly
Meanwhile, Nelly revealed she was looking to the future, telling the show’s relationship experts: “I have never felt more confident or more strong.”
She indicated she had nothing specific to communicate to Steven, though expressed hope he would learn from the experience.
Viewers rushed to X (previously known as Twitter) to discuss the revelation.
“We all knew Steven was lying about the app,” one viewer stated, while another said: “Well knock me down with a feather, Steven *was* on the dating apps?”
“Steven finally admits to having a dating profile on Hinge…” another viewer noted, while someone else simply posted: “What?”

“That’s embarrassing,” another viewer remarked, while one commented: “I thought he was gonna deny that for eternity.”
“Oh dude wth?” another person said. Another viewer observed: “It was obvious he was guilty. He isn’t the first to do this with a dating app and won’t be the last.”
