Dasha Nekrasova Fired by Talent Agency Following Controversial Podcast with Nick Fuentes

Dasha Nekrasova, known for her role in the acclaimed HBO series “Succession,” has been dismissed by her talent agency, Gersh, following her recent association with far-right commentator Nick Fuentes. This decision has been confirmed by a spokesperson for Gersh to Variety.

Nekrasova, who co-hosts the podcast “Red Scare” with Anna Khachiyan, welcomed Fuentes onto the show in episode footage uploaded to YouTube on October 10. The podcast conversation delved into a myriad of topics, including Fuentes’ burgeoning influence, the controversial assassination of Charlie Kirk, immigration issues, Kanye West’s public statements, vaccine discourse, and the so-called “Groyper army.” The initial video garnered around 220,000 views, while a subsequent repost attracted an additional 69,000 views.

Fuentes has been a polarizing figure, criticized even by some on the right for his leadership within the “Groyper” movement, which espouses racist and antisemitic ideologies. A recent report by the New York Times labeled him a white nationalist and highlighted backlash stemming from his appearance on Tucker Carlson’s show, where he made divisive remarks advocating for a “pro-white,” Christian demographic and accused “organized Jewry” of undermining American society.

In her role on “Succession,” Nekrasova portrayed Comfrey Pellits, a member of Kendall Roy’s public relations team, marking her presence in nine episodes of the series. She has also appeared in other notable television productions such as “The Serpent,” “Dickinson,” and “Mr. Robot.” In film, she has credits in titles like “Materialists” and “The Scary of Sixty-First,” the latter of which she both wrote and directed.

Nekrasova has previously sparked controversy with her statements. In a 2023 feature in The New Yorker, she proclaimed, “Francis is not the real Pope, we all know it,” and insinuated that the influence of Freemasons and Jews within the Church was deep-rooted and inescapable. This history of contentious remarks appears to have compounded the fallout from her affiliation with Fuentes, resulting in her agency’s decision to sever ties.
