Liam Neeson joins forces with Stranger Things star for new horror sci-fi flick

One thing’s for certain, and that’s that Liam Neeson, 73, is not slowing down career-wise any time soon.
The Antrim native released his 100th film, Marlowe, in 2022, and has since released a further six, his last being The Naked Gun with Pamela Anderson.
We’re happy to report that there are four more Liam Neeson projects in the works, one of which is a new horror sci-fi flick, Cold Storage, which he stars in alongside Stranger Things’ Joe Keery. Here’s everything we know.

Cold Storage is brought to you by the creators of Jurassic Park and Mission: Impossible. It’s based on David Koepp’s 2019 novel, which follows the characters’ attempts at containing a parasitic fungus that leaks from an abandoned military base.
The film’s official synopsis reads: ‘When a mutating, highly contagious fungus escapes a sealed facility, two young employees – joined by a grizzled bioterror operative – must survive the wildest night shift ever to save humanity from extinction.’
The fungus is brain-controlling and has body-bursting effects on anything in its path.

Liam Neeson plays bioterror operative Robert Quinn, opposite Stranger Things’ Joe Keery as Travis Meacham and Barbarian’s Georgina Campbell as Naomi Williams.
Cold Storage also stars Vanessa Redgrave, the mother of Liam’s late wife, Natasha Richardson. The actor previously told The Hollywood Reporter that he had no scenes with his mother-in-law.

‘In fact, the day she started work was the day I actually flew back home from Rome. But we were in the same hotel and so we had dinner,” he told the publication.
‘Her character and her scenes in the film, she’s probably going to steal the movie. She’s perfect casting for it. It’s a good script and a good story. But, yeah, she’s going to steal the fecking movie.’
