Stephen Curry Warms Up in Nike Shoes on Video After Parting Ways with Under Armour

Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry was seen warming up in “Mambacita” Nike Kobe 6 shoes prior to his team’s road game at the San Antonio Spurs on Friday after he and Under Armour parted ways.
Curry was previously with Nike before joining Under Armour in 2013. He then remained with the brand for 12 years.
Under Armour will still release the Curry 13, which will be the final Curry Brand x Under Armour shoe, in February 2026.
Curry had a long and prosperous partnership with Under Armour. The Curry Brand was launched in 2020, and he also signed an extension with Under Armour in 2023.
Per CNBC, Curry got 8.8 million Under Armour common shares valued at $75 million at the time. He also became president of Curry Brand.
This ultimately seems like an amicable parting of ways.
Under Armour CEO Kevin Plank offered insight on the future in the statement.
“This move lets two strong teams do what they do best,” Plank said in the statement. “Under Armour is focused on product innovation and performance for athletes at every level. Curry Brand gets the independence to determine its own future. That’s good for Stephen and good for UA.”
Curry, of course, has developed into one of the NBA’s all-time elite guards, winning four NBA championships, winning two NBA MVP awards and making 11 All-NBA teams. He’s averaging 27.1 points in his 17th NBA season.
