Nadia Bartel is planning to grow her family, with the Henne designer saying she is considering having another baby.
Speaking to Stellar, Bartel has revealed she has frozen embryos with her long-time boyfriend, Peter Dugmore, saying the process had been “confronting” but she’s now ready to contemplate motherhood again.
“I want to try and have a family with Pete. We want to really start trying this year,” Bartel told Stellar in an exclusive interview.
Of her relationship with the Melbourne-based businessman, Bartel said: “He’s my partner and we’ve got each other’s support.”
Bartel, 40, has two sons Aston, who turns 10 next week, and Henley, 7, from her previous marriage.
Speaking about her relationship with Dugmore, Bartel added: “He’s such a big help with the boys; I feel like we’re a real team,” she said.
“It’s comforting to know we’ve got the embryos there, as well.”
It’s been a busy time for Bartel. She opened her second Henne store in Melbourne earlier this month – located on High St, Armadale – in addition to the brand’s locations in Prahran and Sydney’s Paddington.
Worn by celebrities including Emily Ratajkowski, Bartel’s business has had a huge year – including shooting the brand’s latest campaign on a three-day “whirlwind” trip to Paris.
With more than half a million Instagram followers, Bartel is aware of her influence and the scrutiny that comes with it.
“I feel like the trolling is quite out of control at the moment, and I’m not sure why that is and where it’s coming from,” she told Stellar.
She continued: “There’s never been a period where I haven’t been trolled”.
“You can’t say you don’t get affected by it; when you read messages that can be quite negative and quite personal, and when they target your family, that’s where it’s quite hurtful.”
