Body cam reveals country music stars’ chaotic plea for help

Police body cam reveals during Todd Snider’s arrest in Salt Lake City that the country music singer had to tell officers he wasn’t homeless.

Fox 13, which obtained the video, reports the singer-songwriter told police multiple times he is “famous” and lives in Nashville.

According to the report, Snider returned to the hospital after being discharged earlier in the day.

Police responded to a disturbance involving a man hospital staff described as “loud,” “obnoxious” and allegedly threatening to “kick” a staffer’s (expletive).

As officers cuffed the 59-year-old Snider, he said, “I can’t wait to tell you my story.”

In the video, he explains he was mugged.

“I’m not homeless,” he said. “I live in Nashville. I have a band. I’m famous.”

Snider was charged with disorderly conduct, threat of violence and criminal trespassing.

Earlier this month, Snider “sustained severe injuries” as a result of a “violent assault” and has canceled his “High, Lonesome and Then Some” tour. The singer/songwriter was assaulted outside of his hotel in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The news was shared via post to his Instagram.

“We are heartbroken to announce the cancellation of the High, Lonesome and Then Some 2025 Tour dates,” the statement read. “Ahead of Todd Snider’s show in Salt Lake City, Todd sustained severe injuries as the victim of a violent assault outside of his hotel.

“Todd will be unable to perform for an undetermined amount of time. We deeply apologize for the cancellation and any inconvenience it causes. We appreciate your understanding as Todd receives needed medical treatment. We hope to have more information on new dates soon.”
