Brazil vs Senegal – Predicted lineup and team news

Brazil and Senegal will meet at the Emirates Stadium in London on Saturday, November 15, in an international friendly that promises high intensity and continental flair.

After a surprising loss to Japan, Brazil are eager to make amends, while Senegal arrive in strong form, looking to extend their winning streak as they fine-tune preparations for the Africa Cup of Nations.

Brazil vs Senegal – Predicted lineup and team news

Brazil team news

Head coach Carlo Ancelotti has announced a 26-man squad for the November internationals, assembling what is effectively Brazil’s strongest available lineup.

The major talking point remains the continued absence of Neymar, who is still recovering from muscle issues at Santos. Explaining his decision, Ancelotti said: “I haven’t talked to Neymar. We’ll see when he can recover and start playing again. I’m not taking a player that lacks intensity to play the whole World Cup, no chance. We need players that are at a top physical level.”

Even without their iconic forward, Brazil retain an abundance of attacking quality. Vinícius Júnior, now assuming greater responsibility in the national setup, could be tested in a new role for this match.

Joining him in attack are Rodrygo and Chelsea’s emerging talent Estêvão, whose eye-catching form continues to grab attention. The 18-year-old marked his last outing by scoring twice in Brazil’s 5-0 demolition of South Korea in October. Richarlison, Gabriel Martinelli, and Luiz Henrique add further depth and versatility up front.

In midfield, Ancelotti has kept faith in his experienced trio of Casemiro, Bruno Guimarães, and Lucas Paquetá, with Chelsea’s 21-year-old Andrey Santos pushing for a more prominent role.

Defensively, Arsenal’s Gabriel Magalhães returns to reinforce the back line, likely partnering Eder Militão of Real Madrid at centre-back. Veteran full-backs Danilo and Alex Sandro bring valuable experience, while Fenerbahçe’s Ederson will start between the posts.

Paris Saint-Germain captain Marquinhos also rejoins the squad after overcoming injury issues. However, Alisson and Raphinha remain unavailable due to ongoing fitness concerns.

Brazil predicted lineup

Possible Brazil starting XI: Ederson; Wesley, Marquinhos, Gabriel, C. Henrique; Casemiro, Guimaraes; Estevao, Paqueta, Rodrygo; Vinicius Jr.

When will the match kick off?

The match will kick off at 4pm BST on Saturday, 14th November.
