‘Varanasi’ Trailer LEAKED: Fans at GlobeTrotter event post clip of Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra starre

As fans wait eagerly for the trailer of SS Rajamouli’s much-anticipated ‘SSMB29’ movie, officially titled ‘Varanasi’, it seems that the first few seconds of the trailer have leaked online. The team, at the ‘GlobeTrotter’ event at the Ramoji Film City, treated the fans to the official motion character posters, the film title launch and even offered them the first look at the official trailer. As per viral tweets, the first few minutes of the trailer have leaked online. The footage, which allegedly provides glimpses of the film, which has a surprising mix of mythological, historical, and sci-fi imagery.

According to the viral clip circulating on social media, the film will take viewers through a dramatically recreated old city of Varanasi, set in 512 CE. This aligns with previous reports that Rajamouli’s team built a highly detailed Varanasi set in Hyderabad’s Ramoji Film City.

History meets mythology

The footage then cuts to a more cosmic scene of blazing asteroids hurtling towards Earth. The film appears to identify one particular asteroid named Shambhavi 2027 CE, which is shown plummeting through the sky and landing on the Ross Ice Shelf in Antarctica, which then goes on to reveal what appears to be an ancient, hidden city beneath the ice cap. The scale of these images of ancient cityscapes and ruins of pre-historic civilisations, has only added to the excitement about the heavy VFX work at play in this film. To date, neither Rajamouli nor the producers have confirmed the leaked details of the film’s possible plot. Prior to Saturday’s event, various news reports and social media reports hinted at the possibility of the film being titled ‘Varanasi’, which turned out to be true.The movie is widely believed to be a global action-adventure epic.
