Where is ‘College GameDay’ this week? Location, schedule, guest picker for Week 12

College football Week 12 straight-up picks

Before The Snap’s Week 12 picks include Clemson-Louisville, Oklahoma-Alabama, Iowa-USC, Utah-Baylor and Texas-Georgia.

In a week with Georgia playing Texas and Oklahoma playing Alabama, “College GameDay” is going to a more unconventional top-25 matchup.

For the second time this year, ESPN’s marquee pregame show will be setting up outside of an NFL stadium that hosts its college team, as the No. 23 Pittsburgh Panthers host the No. 9 Notre Dame Fighting Irish at Acrisure Stadium.

Though the pick may be breaking the mold, it’s a game that carries great consequence for the Irish. Notre Dame, which is following up a national championship appearance, is trying to stave off its third loss of the season and possibly keep its hopes alive as an at-large team. Pitt is seeking to be the ACC’s likely lone College Football Playoff representative, with a conference championship likely to be the only path.

This marks the fourth time Pitt has hosted “College GameDay,” with the last time being for the resurgence of Pitt’s “Backyard Brawl” with West Virginia in Week 1 of 2022 on a Thursday. The last Saturday show was Sept. 3, 2005, when Pitt defeated Notre Dame 42-21 after Lee Corso donned Panthers headgear.

Where is ‘College GameDay’ location in Week 12?

  • Location: North Shore Great Lawn in Pittsburgh
  • Time: 9 a.m. ET

“College GameDay” will broadcast from the North Shore Great Lawn on the Allegheny River in front of the yellow bridges that are a staple of Pittsburgh architecture. The show will be on location in front of Acrisure Stadium for the matchup between No. 23 Pitt and No. 9 Notre Dame.

How to watch ‘College GameDay’ in Week 12? TV schedule, streaming

“College GameDay” will air on ESPN, its traditional broadcast home, during Week 12 of the 2025 season. Streaming options for the show include the ESPN app (with a cable login) and Fubo, which offers a free trial to potential subscribers.

‘College GameDay’ schedule on ESPN

The Week 12 rendition of “College GameDay” will broadcast from Pittsburgh at 9 a.m. ET on ESPN.

Though it hasn’t been announced yet, the most likely location for “GameDay” in Week 13 is Eugene, Oregon, for a matchup between Oregon and USC at Autzen Stadium in a game with huge implications for the Big Ten.

As “GameDay” has already been in Norman, that makes a visit for Oklahoma-Missouri less likely, with the other ranked matchups being teams who “GameDay” has seen in the past two weeks. Pitt will be playing Georgia Tech and Cincinnati is hosting BYU. A big dark horse is Harvard and Yale in a classic matchup between teams enjoying quietly strong seasons.

Here’s a look at where ESPN’s “College GameDay” has made stops at during the 2025 college football season:

  • Week 1: Texas at Ohio State (Columbus, Ohio)
  • Week 2: Michigan at Oklahoma (Norman, Oklahoma)
  • Week 3: Georgia at Tennessee (Knoxville, Tennessee)
  • Week 4: Florida at Miami (Miami Gardens, Florida)
  • Week 5: Oregon at Penn State (State College, Pennsylvania)
  • Week 6: Vanderbilt at Alabama (Tuscaloosa, Alabama)
  • Week 7: Indiana at Oregon (Eugene, Oregon)
  • Week 8: Ole Miss at Georgia (Athens, Georgia)
  • Week 9: Missouri at Vanderbilt (Nashville)
  • Week 10: Cincinnati at Utah (Salt Lake City)
  • Week 11: BYU at Texas Tech (Lubbock, Texas)
  • Week 12: Notre Dame at Pitt (Pittsburgh)

Who is the ‘College GameDay’ guest picker in Week 12?

Pitt has a few contemporary legends it could have tabbed for “College GameDay” in Pat McAfee’s homecoming, but it went with arguably its biggest.

Aaron Donald, the retired NFL superstar and Super Bowl champion, will handle the honors on Nov. 15.

Donald’s No. 97 is to be retired. From 2010-2013, Donald played in 51 games for the Panthers, recording 181 tackles, 66 tackles for loss, and 29.5 sacks. As a senior in 2013, Donald was so dominant he began getting recognition as a possible latecomer to the Heisman conversation, but ultimately it was too late to get real traction and Jameis Winston won the award.
