College football Week 12 straight-up picks

For just the fourth time in “College GameDay” history, the preeminent college football pregame show is in Pittsburgh to preview the top games of the weekend schedule.
It’s especially impactful for “GameDay” analyst Pat McAfee, a Pittsburgh native who is more than familiar with the hometown Pittsburgh Panthers thanks to his time with hated rival West Virginia. And, with former Pitt star Aaron Donald on as the Week 12 guest picker, the “GameDay” crew made their picks for the biggest games of the week.

Naturally, the biggest of those pregame previews is the headliner between No. 23 Pitt (No. 22 in College Football Playoff rankings) and visiting, ninth-ranked Notre Dame (No. 9 in CFP).
The rivalry meeting between the Fighting Irish and Panthers aren’t the only games the “GameDay” crew of McAfee, Desmond Howard, Nick Saban and Kirk Herbstreit made picks for, however.
