Arda Güler features for Türkiye in win over Bulgaria

Real Madrid midfielder Arda Güler featured in Türkiye’s 2-0 win over Bulgaria in their World Cup Qualifying match on Saturday evening.
Güler played 88 minutes on the night, as Türkiye looked to have seen out the win with relative ease at the Bursa Atatürk Stadium.
Their captain, Hakan Çalhanoglu, scored the first goal through a penalty, and his delivery forced the ball into Bulgaria’s goal by one of their own for the second.
Güler did not play a huge part in either of the goals, as Çalhanoglu was at the centre of everything for Türkiye, but it was still a decent performance from the 20-year-old.
Güler put up 55 touches, 37 passes with a near 90% completion rate, two dribbles, one key pass, one interception, one shot, and one tackle.
His passing helped in distribution quite a bit, as all three of his long balls were successful on the night, although Güler would have hoped to be more involved in the final third for Türkiye.
They now play Dean Huijsen’s Spain on Tuesday.
