First Half
17:36 – Bill Self is not happy and Kansas takes its first timeout of the game. The Jayhawks committed two early turnovers and have looked sloppy out of the gate. Kansas and Princeton are tied, 3-3.
15:26 – Princeton knocks down a three to give the Tigers an early lead. They have already attempted six treys and are not afraid to let it fly. Meanwhile, KU is shooting 2-for-8 from the field, and Melvin Council Jr. has three misses of his own. Princeton leads, 6-5.
14:19 – Jayden Dawson and Samis Calderon are the first players off the bench. Self is running a small ball lineup to use defenders he can switch on threes. However, the Tigers keep firing away from deep and are playing tenacious defense. Princeton leads, 9-7.
12:42 – Coach Self is going ridiculously deep into his bench. He just brought in walk-on guard Wilder Evers after Kohl Rosario committed an offensive foul. Kansas has no answer for Princeton’s offense. Princeton leads, 14-10.
9:56 – KU now has six turnovers and is shooting 31% from the field. Council is now 0-for-5 from the field and the Tigers are completely sagging off him. Dalen Davis on Princeton is making some crafty moves. Princeton leads 18-13.
8:19 – Council records a steal and throws down a dunk on the other end off an errant pass. The crowd is back into it and the game is tied up. Kansas and Princeton are tied, 18-18.
4:24 – Both offensea are stagnant right now. Kansas is missing a lot of open threes and is now 2-for-9 from beyond the arc. The Jayhawks have also committed nine turnovers. Rosario and Council now have two fouls in the first half. Kansas leads, 22-21.
3:04 – Flory Bidunga finally gets in on the action with back-to-back buckets, giving him six points on the night. Fan favorite Nginyu Ngala is in the game and is heading to the free throw line after the timeout. Kansas leads, 26-22.
1:26 – Bidunga has gotten it going in the past few minutes. He caught a lob from Jayden Dawson for a dunk before and just threw down a nasty poster on a Princeton player. He leads KU with 12 points and is really feeling it now. Kansas leads, 34-27.
Halftime – Kansas leads 37-29 at the half. Bidunga has a game-high 15 points, but no other Kansas player is in double figures. The Jayhawks are shooting 13-for-28 from the field and 2-for-10 from three.

Kansas vs. Princeton Basketball Preview
The Jayhawks will be without star freshman Darryn Peterson for the second consecutive game as he works through a hamstring issue.
This ailment has affected him all season, dating back to the Louisville game when he began to cramp up in the second half. While there is some concern around the fanbase, the hope is that it will pass and will not be an issue by the time KU takes on Duke in the Champions Classic next week.
Princeton is a respectable Ivy League opponent, going 19-11 last season and finishing third in the league. However, the Tigers likely won’t be able to put up much of a fight, even without Peterson.
The Jayhawks pulled away with a 31-point victory over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in their first game without him, so this will be nothing more than a game where Bill Self can experiment with new lineups and rotations.
