The parties of the left can “break the mould” of the “two-and-a-half party system” of government after Catherine Connolly’s presidential victory, Labour leader Ivana Bacik told her party conference yesterday.
Addressing members in Limerick, Ms Bacik said her party now has a chance to “build on the momentum” of the Independent TD’s campaign and on a “common cause” platform with other parties of the left.
