Lewis Cope’s girlfriend was left declaring ‘it happened’ as she shared her excitement over his latest Strictly Come Dancing performance, after helping him practice his moves.
The actor is currently flying high in the BBC One dance contest alongside his professional dance partner, Katya Jones, having recently secured the first perfect score of the series.
Lewis, who is best known for playing Nicky Milligan in Emmerdale, scored the first 40 of the 2025 series during the annual Halloween special, which took place at the start of the month, just after the actual festivities.
He and Katya were seen wearing matching suits for their couple’s choice to Creep by Radiohead, during which Lewis did some tap dancing, as he dedicated the routine to his family.
Over the most recent weekend, as Strictly’s current run reached the mid-way point, Lewis and Katya were back in the ballroom and having made it through to week seven, and while they didn’t get four tens, they were still just as impressive.
They kicked off the live show on Saturday night (November 8) with a Cha Cha to I Like It Like That by Pete Rodriguez, which left them tied third on the latest leaderboard.

Now, Lewis’ girlfriend, Rachel Lopez, has shared a glimpse at how her other half had ‘manifested’ performing a Cha Cha live on the show, after they headed off on a quick holiday following Lewis’ late addition to Strictly’s line-up this year.
Sharing a video on TikTok, it started with the pair practising dance moves in a studio, before the footage changed to show Lewis in action on the ballroom floor with Katya.
A message across the video read: “POV: Your partner wanted to manifest doing the cha cha live on Strictly so you did Latin hips instead of sit ups every day on holiday.”

Rachel also wrote in the caption of the post: “Omgggg it happened [crying face emoji] his CHA CHA was INCREDIBLE!!! I am so so so proud of you @Lewis Cope I’ve never known anyone to work as hard as you @BBC Strictly #fyp #strictly #partner.”
When one viewers commented: “That is the most iconic thing ever!! The dedication. He smashed it last night,” Rachel replied: “Honestly it could be the hottest day EVER but he still insisted on working in the studio. He loves it so much I’m so proud of him!”
Another, meanwhile, said: “Thats brilliant. He was incredible as always!!! Already soo looking forward to the tango!!” to which the pilates teacher responded: “Thank you!!! Awwwww gosh honestly i think their tango will be out of this world.”
