CHARLOTTE – AJ Green did not finish out the Milwaukee Bucks’ 111-100 loss to the Charlotte Hornets on Nov. 12 at the Spectrum Center with an apparent injury to his right (shooting) arm, but after the game Green said he should be fine going forward after taking an elbow to the arm.

Green took several hard shots playing defense throughout the game, and as the first half ended he walked off the court grabbing his right forearm and flexing his hand. He took the final shot of the half, a missed 3-pointer, and said his arm began cramping whenever he got into a shooting motion.

Green had started the second half, but after he checked out with 3 minutes, 13 seconds left in the third quarter he sought some treatment on the arm. The Bucks training staff wrapped his forearm just under his right elbow, and Green pantomimed shooting in the tunnel leading to the Bucks locker room, and also did some hard dribbles but indicated he felt discomfort running up his arm.

With just under eight minutes left in the game, Green left the Bucks bench again to keep trying to pantomime shooting under the watch of a trainer, and eventually took the wrap off his arm. Late in the contest the Bucks said Green was “still available,” but never re-entered the game as Bucks head coach Doc Rivers emptied the bench for the final minutes.

Green was just 1 of 4 shooting for three points in 27 minutes.
