Question: When my wife worked in a nursery, no staff member was allowed to be with any child on there own . If this rule was broken, they would be sacked on the spot. Even taking a child to toilet would be 2’s. One would stand outside with child in view of CCTV, and one would inspect toilets for anything that shouldn’t be there (Sharps, Medicines, other people) then 2 would enter. No phones on site, and constant changes of “Buddy’s” so no two staff constantly together. Changing babies in a room with no door, and two staff doing that too.
