The referees who will officiate the Portugal – Armenia match in the final round of the European qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup have been announced. The game has been assigned to a refereeing team from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The main referee will be Irfan Peljto, who will be assisted on the lines by Senad Ibrisimbegović and Davor Beljo. The role of fourth official will be carried out by Miloš Gigović. The VAR system will be overseen by Italian specialists — Gianluca Aureliano and his assistant Daniele Paterna.

The Portugal – Armenia match will take place on November 16 and will kick off at 18:00 Yerevan time.

The 41-year-old Irfan Peljto has already officiated a number of matches in the Bosnian and Herzegovinian championship this season, as well as a Champions League group stage match between Real Madrid and Marseille (2:1), where he showed one red card and awarded two penalties. In addition, the referee took charge of the 2026 World Cup qualifying match between Belgium and Wales, in which he also awarded two penalties.

The match in Portugal will be another important appointment in the international calendar for the Bosnian referee.
