NFL Week 11 Weather Conditions (Fantasy Football)

Another week, another round of weather! Week 10 had a few games impacted by Mother Nature, and Week 11 is shaping up to have some similar impacts (or dare I say, even worse?). As always, it is important to remember that the weather is just one factor in your fantasy football lineups. Match-ups, injuries, game script, and many other things should go into your lineup choices. Make sure to do a pre-game check for those games that are expected to be impacted, and be ready to go with a flex! Without further delay, let’s get to it.

Buckle up, it’s Week 11 time, baby!

Sunday Early Afternoon Games

Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Buffalo Bills

HIGH impact. Well, this is one of those games where I hate to see some weather, but it looks like there will be some to deal with. Expect there to be a rain and snow mix throughout much of the game. It doesn’t look like anything too heavy, and I’m not seeing any snow accumulation, which is good. Along with the mixed precipitation, the winds will be strong with sustained winds in the low-20s and gusts reaching into the mid-30s. Downgrade your expectations for WRs in this one, along with Kickers. These conditions will favor a much more ground-based game plan.

Houston Texans @ Tennessee Titans

LOW impact. It will be a pleasant afternoon in Nashville for the game. Mostly clear skies, with winds in the single digits, and temperatures sitting in the mid-60s. The weather is not a factor in this one. In fact, it’s such a non-factor that this gets the coveted “GOOD WEATHER GAME OF THE WEEK” award.

Green Bay Packers @ New York Giants

MEDIUM impact. Watch the winds in this one. I’m seeing sustained speeds hitting the high-teens with gusts reaching the mid-30s. Will stronger winds be good or bad for Jameis Winston? Who knows, but it is a variable to be aware of.  Kickers will see the bulk of the impacts, so if you have a kicker to flex to that is facing better conditions, go ahead and do that.

Cincinnati Bengals @ Pittsburgh Steelers

MEDIUM impact. There will be some rain showers earlier in the day, but those should clear out before kick-off. There will be some increased winds throughout the game with sustained speeds reaching the high-teens with gusts into the low-30s.  Kickers and passing game will feel the worst impact, but don’t bench your studs (paging Ja’Maar Chase).

Los Angeles Chargers @ Jacksonville Jaguars

LOW impact. There will be some slightly increased winds during the game, with speeds in the low-teens, gusting to the low-20s. However, the gusts will be pretty infrequent, so don’t let that adjust your starting players in this game. Aside from the winds, it will be mostly clear with temperatures in the high-70s.

Sunday Late Afternoon Games

Baltimore Ravens @ Cleveland Browns

MEDIUM impact. There will be a chance of rain showers throughout the game, mostly cloudy skies, temperatures in the mid-40s, and finally, winds in the high-teens with gusts to the mid-30s. All in all, it’ll be a little bit of a mess in Cleveland on Sunday. I wouldn’t look at benching your studs, but temper your expectations. Especially for your pass catchers and QBs.

Kansas City Chiefs @ Denver Broncos

LOW Impact. There’s a small chance of rain, especially after half-time, but it doesn’t look too heavy to have a significant impact on the game. Winds will be in the high single digits, with temperatures hitting the low-70s. Not too much to worry about here, just keep an eye on pregame conditions.

Sunday Night Game

Detroit Lions @ Philadelphia Eagles

MEDIUM impact. Another game that’ll be dealing with some winds. Expect sustained speeds in the mid-teens with gusts hitting the upper-20s. It’s not enough to bench your studs, but be aware for kickers! Temperatures will be in the low-40s with no rain expected.

Best of luck to your team in the week ahead!
