Cameron Diaz’s Green and Gold Kitchen Is the Chicest Yet

As a celebrity style editor, I have the pleasure of browsing images of beautiful kitchens every single day, but there’s one space that always sits at the top of my wish list – and it’s already impressed me for over a decade.

Designed in collaboration with the celebrated Kelly Wearstler, the actress’s Manhattan kitchen is defined by its deep emerald-green lacquered cabinetry and unlacquered brass counters, backsplash, and hardware. The pairing creates a refined, jewel-box atmosphere that feels both glamorous and practical. It’s sat at the top of my inspiration board for years – a true testament to its timelessness.

My admiration for Cameron’s kitchen is no secret, but I am not alone in my love for her color combination. Starting with (arguably) the most notable hue of all: Green. This tone looked stunning in the 2010s, but as top designers explain, it’s just as fashionable today.

‘Forest and racing green kitchens are having something of a moment right now. As a color we associate primarily with nature, this grounding, cosy hue has an incredible way of reconnecting us with our surroundings, creating moments of calm and positivity,’ comments kitchen designer Tom Howley.

Plus, while Bridgerton wasn’t a concept when Kelly designed Cameron’s kitchen, Tom says this hue perfectly masters the Regency-style aesthetic that’s so prominent currently.

‘2025 is also the year of the Bridgerton Influence,’ he says. ‘Try deep, regal greens and a dash of nature-inspired pattern with a heritage feel. Think leafy William Morris prints and vintage Liberty florals. When in doubt, head over to your nearest stately home for inspiration. We may not all have a Bridgerton budget, but we can learn a thing or two about how to create beautiful spaces just by looking to the past.’

I can almost certainly promise that Cameron’s kitchen will continue to impress me for another ten years, all while feeling trendy and timeless, simultaneously. It’s one of those rare spaces that truly will stand the test of time.
