Marcus Mariota start or sit: Week 11 fantasy football advice

With Jayden Daniels out for a month or so, Marcus Mariota has taken over behind center. This week the 3-7 Commanders head to Miami as 2.5-point underdogs against the 3-7 Dolphins. Miami hasn’t been favored in a game since Week 3, but they’re coming off a strong win against the Bills and now face the Daniels-less Commanders.
Mariota has been serviceable in Daniels’ role, but he remains on the edge of startable in 12 team fantasy leagues.
Below, we’ll go over Marcus Mariota’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 11.
Fantasy Football analysis: Commanders, QB, Marcus Mariota
In four starts, Mariota has finished as QB6, QB17, QB19, and QB13. He’s averaging 213 yards passing and 36 yards rushing, while throwing for six touchdowns, three interceptions, and rushing for another touchdown. These stats came against the Raiders, Falcons, Chiefs, and Lions. As you might expect, his best game came against the weak Raiders defense.
This week he gets to face another weak defense in Miami. The Dolphins have given up 21 total touchdowns to quarterbacks while intercepting a league low two on the season. The only quarterbacks to not hit 18+ fantasy points against them have been Bryce Young, Dillon Gabriel and Kirk Cousins.
The Commanders defense is also bad and the Dolphins should be able to score, making this game a possible spot for elevated fantasy points on both sides. And Mariota’s rushing ability keeps his floor fairly stable, especially in a good matchup like this.
