Scotland v Argentina live: Score and latest updates from autumn international

Just when you think you have both of these teams sussed, they serve up this. One of the most mind-boggling, if thrilling, matches of the autumn thus far – with one of the great South American smash-and-grabs and a staggering Scottish capitulation.
Scotland, on the back of that gut-wrenching defeat by New Zealand last week, led 21-0 after 55 minutes thanks to a brace from hooker Ewan Ashman and another by No 8 Jack Dempsey. Argentina had played the best part of an hour as if they did not want to be there – certainly, most of their minds were not – before Los Pumas mounted the most dramatic of all comebacks, earning their first victory at Murrayfield since 2009.
All it took to ignite the Argentina rearguard was a Blair Kinghorn sin-binning and one wayward Finn Russell pass. Russell would knock over another three points off the tee for Scotland but from there it was one-way traffic as Argentina scored five tries – four from close range.
It was Pablo Matera’s effort which gave Los Pumas the lead for the first time in the 76th minute but the replacement’s score followed tries by Julián Montoya, Rodrigo Isgro and Pedro Rubiolo. Justo Piccardo added a longer-range late score to put the result beyond doubt.
