Calvin Ridley injury update: See latest on Jeffery Simmons, Titans vs Texans inactives

Tennessee Titans veterans Jeffery Simmons, Calvin Ridley and Arden Key will all be active for the team’s game against the Houston Texans on Nov. 16.
The Titans (1-8) host the Texans (4-5) at Nissan Stadium (noon CT, FOX), marking the return game for three of the team’s most notable players. Simmons (hamstring) hasn’t been active since Week 7, Ridley (hamstring) hasn’t been active since Week 6 and Key (quadricep) hasn’t been active since Week 5. Simmons and Ridley are the Titans’ two highest-paid players.
Safety Xavier Woods (hamstring) will not play, paving the way for more reps for rookie Kevin Winston Jr. The Titans also elevated safety Mike Brown from injured reserve for this game, marking his first action in more than a month. Brown showed up for Sunday’s game wearing a jersey in memory of his cousin Marshawn Kneeland, the former Dallas Cowboys player who died tragically on Nov. 6.
The Texans will start quarterback Davis Mills with regular starter C.J. Stroud in the concussion protocols. The Texans won last week with Mills behind center.
