Packers coach Matt LaFleur provides injury update before facing Giants

Green Bay Packers coach Matt LaFleur talks about injuries, Jeff Hafley and how his team can turn things around.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love left Sunday’s game against the New York Giants in the first quarter with a left shoulder injury but returned on the team’s next series.

Love was initially questionable to return.

He exited the game after suffering a hit on a scramble during the team’s second drive late in the first quarter.

Love went to the team’s blue medical tent on the sideline and later ran into the locker room. The Packers trailed the Giants, 7-0, at the time of the injury.

Backup quarterback Malik Willis entered the game and got the Packers on the board with a touchdown pass to Christian Watson.

Love wasn’t out for long.

He returned to the sideline after the Packers’ touchdown and then was back under center on the next possession.

Love didn’t appear to experience any lingering effects from the injury as he led a touchdown drive and had touch on his passes on a drive that ended with an Emanuel Wilson rushing touchdown.
