Justin Herbert injury update: Chargers QB heads to medical tent after big hit

Joe Theismann explains how roughing the passer calls have changed
Former QB Joe Theismann weighs in on today’s NFL and how roughing calls have changed over the years.
Justin Herbert is going to need some bubble wrap.
The Los Angeles Chargers signal caller continues to be a punching bag for opposing defenses, who keep teeing off on the star quarterback.
Herbert is getting a taste of what life is like without a quality offensive line in front of him, which is already missing their top two tackles thanks to injury.
Herbert took a massive hit on third down vs. the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, forcing him out of the contest and into the blue medical tent.
Here’s the latest on Herbert.
Herbert emerged from the blue medical tent with his helmet on and jogged to the locker room for halftime, according to The Athletic.
The quarterback was initially taken to the tent to be evaluated after taking a big hit on third down.
Jacksonville was flagged for roughing the passer on the play. Trey Lance came in to replace the star for a play, before L.A. had to punt it away.
Herbert has been under pressure all game long as the team’s offensive line depth continues to be tested.
Chargers QB depth chart
Lance is the only remaining quarterback on the Chargers active roster after Herbert.
