Bad news! (Picture: Metro/ITV)
Following some powerful episodes of ITV soap Emmerdale, we’re about to bring you some bad news.
On Monday and Wednesday this week, two special instalments aired that left fans blown away. The show aired on Tuesday as well, but was a normal structured ep.
Last week, the first of three standalone episodes were broadcasted. It focused on April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan), who is dealing drugs for Celia Daniels (Jaye Griffiths).
Monday’s trip to the Dales put Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards) in the spotlight, while the final standalone instalment yesterday focused on Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley).
Sadly, you’re going to be disappointed if you tune into ITV1 tonight to see what happens next to our village favourites, as the show won’t be on.
Here’s everything you need to know:

Emmerdale won’t be airing tonight due to an England v Serbia game being broadcasted instead. Mark Pougatch will present all the action from the FIFA World Cup Group K qualifier at Wembley Stadium.
As always, due to the coverage beginning at 7pm and finishing at around 10pm, there won’t be any room for Emmerdale in the schedule.
When will Emmerdale return?
Don’t worry, you won’t have too long to wait! Emmerdale will return as normal on Friday, November 14 at 7:30pm on ITV1, and 7am on ITVX.
What has happened to Bear in Emmerdale?
Monday’s episode confirmed that Bear is working for Celia and Ray (Picture: ITV)
Monday’s instalment of the ITV soap revealed what happened to Bear after he left the village in the summer. After spending time living out of his car, Bear was found by Ray Walters (Joe Absolom), who lured him into his dangerous world with the promise of a roof over his head.
Ray took advantage of Bear by telling him that in exchange for working on Celia’s farm, he will be provided with a bed, food and water.
Due to the manipulation, Bear cannot see that Ray and Celia are exploiting him and many other vulnerable adults. The storyline itself looks at modern day slavery.
Bear’s son Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) knows that his dad is missing, but cannot trace him due to Ray taking the hire car back to the company. As far as Paddy is concerned at the moment, it looks as though Bear just disappeared into thin air.
What else has happened in Emmerdale this week?
We learnt more about Robert and Kev’s connection yesterday (Picture: ITV)
The final standalone episode yesterday revealed more about what Robert went through when he was moved from the Isle of Wight to Hotten prison during the pandemic.
Robert’s cellmate was Kev Townsend (Chris Coghill). At first, they didn’t get on, but they then became pals and eventually lovers.
We also saw the return of beloved Faith Dingle (Sally Dexter). She paid a visit to Robert and urged him to go through with his appeal, so he could come home and reunite with a struggling Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller).
Meanwhile, in the village, we also learnt that Kev has a secret son – but currently has no idea his child is Lewis Barton (Bradley Riches).
Elsewhere, Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) continued to grow paranoid about Mackenzie Boyd’s (Lawrence Robb) blossoming friendship with Ross Barton (Michael Parr).
