As the TV star embarks on a fresh challenge with I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, we’re transported back to her acting career milestones in this particular film many have completely forgotten about, and based on audience reactions, there’s solid justification for that.

Back in 2012, the model appeared in the British comedy Keith Lemon: The Film, which has been branded as both ‘unfunny’ and ‘horrible’ by internet critiques. The picture features Brooks portraying herself as a romantic interest for the television personality Keith Lemon, brought to life by Leigh Francis.

Building upon the triumph of Celebrity Juice, the beloved television panel programme, they elevated the character and provided Keith Lemon with an entire motion picture to unleash chaos. The film’s content is provocative, brimming with risqué references and mature humour that witness various celebrities making surprising guest appearances.

Alongside Brook, Keith Lemon: The Film features contributions from David Hasselhoff, Gary Barlow, Peter Andre, Emma Bunton and even Jedward. Taking centre stage, nevertheless, are Verne Troyer, portraying Lemon’s guardian angel, and Laura Aikman as Rosie, Keith’s partner.

A scathing Rotten Tomatoes review says: “To be honest, it was the worst film ever. Keith Lemon is ok for TV but not for the big screen. Kelly Brook was D-list. It’s not funny at all. Holly and Fearne should have a bigger part. Overall, rubbish.”

Meanwhile another says: “To say this film is bad would be an understatement. The ‘jokes’ are that bad and immature they make you feel uncomfortable, and the story looks like it came out of a child’s English class. All in all, Keith Lemon is a terrible film.”

The comedy follows Keith following a massive business disaster in London and his expectant girlfriend’s disillusionment with him. Before long, he develops a triumphant phone invention that earns him millions, enabling him to pursue his aspirations.

He relocates to Hollywood and enjoys the high life. As his fresh celebrity way of life takes over, he starts dating the stunning model Kelly Brook. Meanwhile, he’s indebted to Evil Steve, who subsequently abducts Rosie, leaving Keith with the task of saving her.

However, not everyone shares this view. Certain Celebrity Juice enthusiasts thoroughly enjoyed watching the 2012 picture. One wrote: “Never seen Celebrity Juice before, but thought this film was freaking hilarious!”.

Another individual commented: “A great and funny comedy full of just what you would get from letting yourself into the world of Keith Lemon and his crazy life. Some people think the film is crap, but if you watch it and like Keith Lemon, then you will love the film, and it is well worth the money.”

Keith Lemon: The Film, featuring Kelly Brook, is currently available to stream on Amazon Prime. Alternatively, for those eager to discover what all the fuss is about, it can be hired on Apple TV.
