Kelly Brook, Martin Kemp and the rest of the I’m A Celebrity campers are getting ready to enter the jungle where they will have to stick to some odd rules.
The ITV reality show – which is hosted by Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly- is back for its latest series on Sunday (November 16).
The new crop of contestants will have a lot to get used to as they brave the jungle critters and stomach-churning Bushtucker trials, and they will also have to get their heads around some of the regulations for campers
In the 23 years since I’m A Celebrity began, various contestants have spilled titbits about some of the restrictions of jungle life.
Here are some of the camp rules.
No watches or clocks

The camp doesn’t contain any clocks, and the stars aren’t allowed to wear watches.
The contestants end up relying on Ant and Dec’s visits to try and work out the time, but it tends not to help as the presenters even cover up their own watches when they are in camp.
A couple of years back several viewers spotted that the pair wore what looked like plasters on their watch faces during a trial, and after they commented on it on Twitter (now X), the show posted: “Ant & Dec’s watches are covered to stop the celebs finding out what time it is – they have no idea, as no clocks in camp.”
Myleene Klass was one of the only celebs to get around it as when she was on the show in 2006 she managed to make her own sundial.

The ITV show is known for its basic diet of rice and beans, with that pretty much all that’s on offer if the contestants don’t win stars during the Bushtuckers.
But over the years many campers have tried to flavour things up by sneaking in salt, pepper and other tasty treats.
Gillian McKeith managed to sneak in some banned items when she was on the show in 2010, carrying salt, herbs and some spices into the camp in her underwear.
The wellness guru started a trend, with many other stars trying to smuggle in contraband in subsequent series. Radio 1 DJ Dean McCullough was one of the most recent offenders, after he was caught sneaking teabags into camp last year.

The contestants are all given standard I’m A Celebrity clothes to wear in the jungle and they can also take in some personal items. However, they are apparently limited when it comes to underwear, as it seems they can only take three pairs with them.
The rule was revealed by EastEnders actress Rita Simons after she did a stint in camp in 2018.
“You’re allowed three pairs of knickers… Three pairs!” she shared on Good Morning Britain. “I smuggled more,” she added.
Red socks

The contestants’ red socks match their camp outfits, but it seems that isn’t the only reason the colour was selected.
Two years ago Bob McCarron – who was a medic on the programme – was quoted as telling Woman’s Own that red socks were dished out to help hide the bloodstains after bugs nipped the celebs on the ankles.
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! starts at 9pm on ITV on Sunday November 16
