Dianna Russini dropped Jalen Hurts news Eagles fans are not interested in hearing

Well, since an A.J. Brown trade didn’t work out for the Philadelphia Eagles, as The Athletic’s Dianna Russini had been pushing for two months, she now shifts her focus to Jalen Hurts. Don’t worry, though, Russini has some things to say about Brown.

In Russini’s latest report, she decides to point out the obvious that after Brown went on a Twitch stream to call the Eagles an “s-show” and tell fantasy owners to drop him, that he is upset. She added to the story, noting that the root of the problems stemmed from the quarterback, Jalen Hurts.

“After doing some digging and asking people inside the Eagles building, it was explained that multiple offensive players have grown frustrated with Jalen Hurts’ approach this season, particularly against zone coverage. They believe he’s become hesitant in tight windows, leaning on checkdowns or scrambles instead of trusting what’s open downfield.”

Now the focus shifts to Hurts and attacking his play

First of all, Russini is the only reporter from the mainstream sports media who continuously targets the Eagles in her reporting. Philly fans are starting to get really tired of her reporting, and it is frustrating everyone as she continues to add multiple tweets every Saturday about the Eagles.

With that being said, Hurts has been noticeably more conservative with the football. Any Eagles fan can see that in his games this season, and that isn’t a bad thing. Frustrating? Yes, but not a bad thing.

Go back to 2023 when Hurts was way more aggressive, and look what happened. A career-high 15 interceptions, the Eagles went 11-6, and lost six of their last seven games, including the NFC Wild Card blowout loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

This season, Hurts has completed 68.9% of his passes (that would be a career-high) for 1,860 yards and 16 touchdowns to just one interception. To throw just one interception in nine games is pretty incredible, and now that is being seen as a negative thing because he’s not being aggressive enough.

The Eagles are just doomed to a life where everyone needs to be negative about them, even though they are first in the NFC with a 7-2 record and are winning games. It’s the life of a Super Bowl-winning team, and fans have to get used to it.

Just wait until all the facts come out before going off on one report from the same person who said the Tush Push was banned less than an hour before fans found out it wasn’t.
