The celebs have their phones confiscated as soon as they land in Australia. but Ginge was given special permission to call his mum Michelle on Friday for his birthday.
She told the Mirror: “Morgan ( his real name) managed to ring me via the producer’s phone because he was allowed a quick phone call for his birthday, and he sounded absolutely buzzing.
“He told me he’s been watching SAS to get himself mentally ready for the jungle, which is so him.”
However, I’m A Celeb stars feeling queasy about being voted for multiple Bushtucker Trials in a row have been let off the hook this year.

I’m A Celebrity fans demand star is AXED within minutes after ‘rude’ behaviour
Their moans to ITV chiefs have led to a limit on the number of consecutive tasks they must endure.
Under the new “two in a row and you miss a go” rules, fans will not be able to vote for a celeb who has already taken on two successive trials.
But viewers can start selecting them again after the following trial vote.
Show bigwigs stepped in to make the major rule change in a bid to stop stars being “bullied” by viewers into constantly taking on stomach-churning eating tasks, or dizzying height challenges.

Michelle said when he heard the news: “He was laughing and saying it’s the best birthday present he could’ve asked for.”
Michellle is set to fly over to meet him on the famous bridge after his stint on the show but admitted it would be the longest they had been apart.
She said: “I told him that if I’d actually seen him in person, I think I would’ve cried, although I did well up when I said goodbye on the phone.
“ I told him ‘I love you’ and he said ‘love you too,’ and honestly, my throat just went.
“It was one of those proper lump-in-the-throat moments.”
Michelle also revealed that Ginge had told her that she wouldn’t be able to deal with the early starts when she gets to Australia.
She said: “He was laughing at the fact I’ll have to get up at 5am when I’m out there, proper typical Morgan humour.
“He also told me he’d discovered an indoor swimming pool and a sauna in the hotel, which he was absolutely made up about.
“He said it felt like a little hidden bonus somewhere he could properly chill out before everything kicks off in the jungle.
“He was laughing that it was the last bit of luxury he’d get before heading into camp.”
Meanwhile, I’m A Celebrity fans have figured out the first feud of the series after noticing tension between Ginge and reality TV star Jack Osbourne.
A tell-tale comment between two of this year’s jungle stars has left many insisting the duo will soon be coming to blows.
