Person hit by train

A pedestrian was hit by a CPKC train late Sunday afternoon in  Belleville.

The collision was somewhere between South Front Street and Herchimer Avenue and occurred
at around 5:40 p.m.

Several rail crossings were blocked for a while.

The Belleville Police Service is investigating and no further details are available at this time.
