91-year-old pedestrian dies after collision in the Sault

Sault Ste. Marie Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred Saturday night involving a motorist and an elderly pedestrian

Sault police officers are investigating a motor vehicle collision that took the life of a 91-year-old pedestrian last night. 

At around 6:30 p.m., officers responded to a collision involving a motor vehicle and a pedestrian in the area of Dacey Road and Terry Fox Place.

The pedestrian was transported to hospital where they succumbed to their injuries.

The driver of the motor vehicle did not sustain physical injuries. No charges have been laid, police said in a news release.

“Traffic Services is continuing its investigation and is not seeking additional information at this time.”
