Ryan Chase No Longer Part Of KRBE Morning Show

Cumulus Media CHR 104.1 KRBE Houston’s “The Roula & Ryan Show with Eric” is now without Ryan Chase.
Chase exited the show last week ending a 19 year run with the station and 23 year partnership with Roula Christie. Chase, Christie and producer Eric Rowe were first teamed at Hot AC “Mix 96.5” KHMX from 2002 to 2005 before joining KRBE in July 2006. The trio signed five year contract extensions this past February at which time the show was retitled “The Roula & Ryan Show with Eric.” Chase had an earlier stint at KRBE in the mid-90’s before spending time as APD of CHR “Z100” WHTZ New York, overnight host at “92.3 K-Rock” WXRK New York, and morning co-host at “102.1 The Edge” KDGE Dallas.
Christie and Rowe discussed Chase’s exit on-air this morning telling listeners he is no longer with the show but that they cannot comment on personnel matters. She said, “We’re gonna miss a lot of things. Nobody plans for this. We just signed a five year deal. I know you want us to tell you things, but we cannot.” Christie admitted that she knows that doesn’t answer a lot of questions, but they cannot comment further. Rowe followed, “I’m in shock. I’m bummed.”
KRBE’s website now lists its morning show as “The Roula Show with Eric ft. Special K & Sam”
