Danny Rohl Wants Neil McCann and Steven Davis at Rangers With Further Change Planned

Rangers are considering hiring former players Neil McCann and Steven Davis to boost Danny Rohl’s backroom team, according to Rangers Review.
The Ibrox side are reportedly exploring the addition of another first-team coach as Rohl looks to continue his backroom overhaul of the Scottish Premiership giants.
The 36-year-old manager, who was hired as Russell Martin’s successor last month, has already brought in assistant coach Matthias Kaltenbach and performance manager Sascha Lense alongside him, and is believed to be considering further hires to share duties on the training ground.
Both McCann and Davis are claimed to be under consideration, as well as Under-18s coach Steven Smith, who briefly acted as caretaker manager following Martin’s exit in October.
It seems there is a high chance a familiar name could make a return to Ibrox under the German tactician, who is also claimed to be looking to add a set-piece coach to make maximum use of dead-ball situations.
Rangers Eyeing Further Changes to Coaching Staff
According to Rangers Review, Rohl is giving serious thought to boosting his coaching staff during the international break, following his mixed start to life at Ibrox.
The 36-year-old, who took over at the club on October 20, has won three and lost three of his opening six matches in all competitions.
Rangers have been perfect in the Premiership under Rohl so far, winning all three games, but have suffered two defeats in the Europa League, where they remain winless and bottom of the table after four games.
The Ibrox side have also crashed out of the Scottish League Cup with a 3-1 loss to arch-rivals Celtic in the semi-finals.
Rangers secured a 3-0 victory over Dundee last weekend, which saw them climb up to fourth in the Scottish Premiership table. Rohl’s side are trailing leaders Hearts by 12 points but have a game in hand, and are just five points off Celtic in second.
Rangers return to league action against Livingston next weekend, before hosting Portuguese side Braga at Ibrox five days later in search of their first points of the Europa League campaign.
