Middletown, Conn. – The Lehman College men’s soccer team fell by a score of 8-1 to hosts Wesleyan University during the first round of the NCAA Division III Championship on Saturday at Jackson Field. The Lightning concluded the season with 10-3-4 overall record, while the Cardinals go to a 10-4-4 mark.
Wesleyan jumped out to a 4-0 halftime lead after tallies from defender Riley Harvey, midfielders Yousuf Saeed, Niall Fergus and forward Joshwin Jennings.

However, midfielder Will Martin notched two goals and forward Chris Bates added another to close out the offense for the Cardinals.
The Lightning goalkeepers Andres Barajas and Matthew Strainz each played a half posting four and six saves, respectively.
