The Australian man who rushed Ariana Grande at the Wicked: For Good Singapore premiere has been jailed for the act.

Singapore District Judge Christopher Goh told Wen, who has crashed other celebrity events, that his “act was premeditated” and “showed a pattern of behaviour, which suggests that you will do it again,” according to The Daily Mail

The maximum penalty Wen faced was three months’ jail, a fine of $1,500, or both.

Footage of the moment last week went viral, showing the content creator – known online as Pyjama Man – lunging at Grande and putting his arm around her as she struggled to get away.

She was walking beside her co-star Cynthia Erivo, 38, at the time, who bravely jumped in front of Grande when she saw the man running towards them.

Wen, who has become infamous for crashing events to rush or accost celebrities until security gets involved, was arrested hours later and charged with “being a public nuisance”.

The stunt from Wen has been widely criticised in Singapore and around the world.

He later posted on Instagram that he was “free after being arrested”.

Erivo recently spoke for the first time about the shocking red carpet moment that involved Grande last week.

The Tony winner admitted she and her co-star have been going “through some s–t” together during a Screen Actors Guild screening over the weekend, per Entertainment Weekly.

While she did not specify which event she was talking about, she hinted at the moment involving Wen.

“I mean, f–k, even this last week,” Erivo said. “Let’s be honest, for f–k’s sakes. We’ve had to really deal with some stuff.

“This movies has allowed us to really grow as people, as friends, as sisters, as artists, as actresses.”
