The Long-Awaited Release Of Callie Hart’s ‘Brimstone’ Is Almost Here

One of the most anticipated literary releases for the romantasy genre in 2025 is almost here. That’s right, Callie Hart’s Brimstone, the sequel to her best-selling novel, Quicksilver, is dropping this November.
Debuting in June 2024, the novel became a viral hit amongst the BookTok community. And, by December of 2024 Hart confirmed it was already being picked up for a TV adaptation which saw Netflix fork out a reported seven-figures for the rights.
If that isn’t enough of an indicator that the Quicksilver (aka the Fae & Alchemy) series is a must-read, we don’t know what is.
Below, everything you need to know about the release date of Brimstone plus, your recap on book one.

What Happens In Brimstone By Callie Hart?
Quicksilver left fans on quite the cliffhanger. After Everlane is bitten and kidnapped by King of the Vampires, Malcolm, Kingfisher rushes to her rescue. In the process we learn Malcolm Belikon and Madra have been working together for millenia, referring to themselves as siblings and the ‘triumvirate’.
The truth of Carrion’s fae heritage is also revealed after he taunts Belikon into biting him, inevitably poisoning the King. Saeris also finds herself in serious trouble when hunting for the coin needed to break the curse and in order to save her life is forced to turn into a vampire.
So, as we head into book two, the synopsis gives a small glimpse into what lies ahead for all our favourite characters.
It reads: “Saeris Fane doesn’t want power. The very last thing she needs is her name whispered on an entire court’s lips, but now that she’s been crowned queen of the Blood Court, she’s discovering that a queen’s life is not her own. A heavy weight rests upon her shoulders.”
“Her ward – and her brother – need her back in her homeland . . . but the changes that have strengthened Saeris have also made her weak. Born under blazing suns, Saeris will surely die if she makes her way home through the Quicksilver. Which means that, once again, she must send someone else in her stead . . .”
