I’m A Celebrity viewers have hailed Ruby Wax as a ‘comedy goddess’ following a Gen Z backlash against her.
Last night’s episode of the ITV series saw a host of top names – including Kelly Brook, Aitch, and Shona McGarty – face fish guts and offal in their first trial.
But as Ant McPartilin, 49, and Declan Donnelly, 50, welcomed the new celebrities to the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! jungle, many fans branded actress Ruby as being ‘rude’ to her fellow co-stars.

The 72-year-old American-British star was introduced to Emmerdale star Lisa Riley, Twitch streamer Angry Ginge, presenter Alex Scott and TV star Jack Osbourne at the start of yesterday’s episode at a luxury mansion.
However, after Angry Ginge began speaking with Ant and Dec, Ruby told the 24-year-old: ‘If you could just get out of my way because there are cameras there.’
After he replied: ‘So sorry about that,’ Ruby further explained that he ‘shouldn’t get in her way’ especially when there is a camera.

Taking to X, many viewers described Ruby – who will be taking part in tonight’s Bushtucker eating trial – as being disrespectful, with @Hoops1791 writing: ‘Not having Ruby Max. Annoying.’
However, leaping to the comedian’s defence, her loyal fanbase slammed Gen Z for ‘not getting’ her humour.
@wolfshead69 said: ‘All these idiot Gen Z’s not getting Ruby Wax’s humour. She’s a comedy legend. #ImACeleb’
@Jobeth42 also wrote: ‘Absolutely fabulous lady. Far more deserving of the title ‘celebrity’ than others in there. Love to see Gen Z cope with other 80s comedians in the jungle.’
@EvieEva25161524 added: ‘I agree. I love Ginge and Ruby. Some people have got to learn how to take a joke.’
Meanwhile, @lorimeganxo claimed: ‘I grew up with Absolutely Fabulous, which ruby wax was a writer on, so she’s a comedy goddess in my household. Sorry x #ImACeleb.’

@sparkles589 additionally explained: ‘Love it. I’m in my late 30s, laughed at Ruby Wax and have no clue who Aitch or Angry Ginge is, found annoying.
‘My neighbour in late 20s, loves Aitch and Angry Ginge, doesn’t get/like Ruby Wax.
‘And thats generational differences and why every age should be on #imaceleb.’
This comes after I’m A Celeb fans claimed they have ‘struck gold’ after a shocking revelation rocked the camp.
To the delight of fans, none of this year’s campmates appear to know how to cook.
After the celebrities won six stars in their first trial and were given emu neck for their first meal, Jack Osbourne asked if anyone here ‘knows how to cook’.
However, the 40-year-old was met with complete silence and blank stares before Angry Ginge joked: ‘Wow that silence was loud.’
Fans took to social media to laugh at the moment, as one joked: ‘Only one celebrity knows how to cook… these guys live in La La Land.’
I’m A Celebrity continues on ITV1 tonight at 9pm.
