Bookings were the hot topic in Michael O’Neill’s press conference ahead of Northern Ireland’s final World Cup qualifier at home to Luxembourg on Monday night.

The 56-year-old picked up one himself on Friday after the final whistle following a heated discussion with Romanian referee István Kovács on some of his decisions that the Northern Ireland boss felt led to a 1-0 defeat in Slovakia.
