Coronation Street spoilers follow from Monday’s episode (17 November), which is available to watch now on ITVX and YouTube but hasn’t yet aired on ITV1.
Coronation Street‘s Todd Grimshaw becomes further isolated tonight as Theo Silverton’s evil abuse continues. Taking some sly advice from his controlling partner, Todd picks a petty fight with George Shuttleworth – and risks destroying their friendship for good.
The show’s latest episode sees Theo pulling all the strings as he engineers big trouble for Todd at work. With Todd sleeping off a hangover, Theo manipulates the situation by putting all of his white shirts back into the washing machine. When Todd finally wakes up, he’s horrified to realise that he has nothing to wear at the funeral parlour.
With Shuttleworths’ about to oversee an important service, George is livid when Todd turns up late and wearing unsuitable attire – a blue shirt as the rest were in the wash.
As George can’t afford for anything else to go wrong, he warns Todd that his services are no longer required and Christina Boyd will take over his responsibilities for the day.

Wanting to remove another link in Todd’s support network, Theo warns him that he shouldn’t take George’s decision lying down and it’s time to stand up for himself.
Hoping to impress his other half, Todd doesn’t pull any punches when he next sees George – but his erratic behaviour over the course of the day soon threatens to push his long-time friend and colleague away forever. It’s exactly what Theo wanted, even if he won’t admit it…
Abi Webster also turns against Todd when he makes some uncharacteristically nasty remarks towards her. It’s clear that Todd isn’t his usual self as Theo’s horrible behaviour is taking its toll, but is anyone close to figuring out what’s happening behind closed doors?
Fans can see how the drama plays out in full when the episode airs tonight at 8pm on ITV1, or it’s streaming early now on ITVX and YouTube.

Earlier this year, Coronation Street announced plans for Todd and Theo’s relationship to take centre stage in a special episode in the run-up to Christmas.
Show producer Kate Brooks explained at the time: “We have played about with the format a little bit to tell these stories.
“I’ve just been in a viewing this morning for a really brilliant and powerful episode, focused primarily on their relationship. It hasn’t been done before – I don’t think anyone’s ever told a story in this format in this way.
“I’ve just watched it and have been quite stunned by it. I’ve got to go back and re-watch it again, just to digest what I’ve just watched on screen, because it really is powerful. It’s really emotive.”
