Pistons Make Final Call on Cade Cunningham’s Status vs Pacers

Cade Cunningham and the Detroit Pistons will take the floor on Monday night to host the Indiana Pacers.
Heading into the matchup, the Pistons kept Cunningham on the injury report as he continues to deal with a hip contusion. The star guard was listed as questionable for the action.
The setback occurred first for Cunningham during the Pistons’ November 10 win over the Washington Wizards in overtime. Cunningham checked in for 44 minutes, shooting 14-45 from the field, scoring 46 points. He logged a double-double by accounting for 11 assists and came up with five steals and two blocks on the defensive end of the floor.
The Pistons held Cunningham out of the next two games. He missed the action against the Chicago Bulls and the Philadelphia 76ers. Despite his absence, the Pistons managed to pull off two more wins in a row. They currently hold the longest winning streak in the NBA.
Will Cade Cunningham Play vs. Indiana Pacers?
Once again, Cade Cunningham is out of the lineup for the Pistons. While Detroit’s head coach JB Bickerstaff considered Cunningham a game-time decision, it didn’t change the trend. The star guard is going to get another night off.

This season, Cunningham got off to a slower start after a strong preseason showing. A lot of his struggles were due to turnovers on the offensive end, as he totaled 22 turnovers throughout the first four games. Since then, he’s averaging fewer than three turnovers per game, and the Pistons haven’t lost since.
In total, Cunningham has played in 11 games this season. He’s been racking up 27.5 points per game, while shooting 43 percent from the field. He’s also knocking down 28 percent of his threes, taking 6.6 per game.
Along with his scoring, Cunningham has produced 9.9 assists per game and 5.4 rebounds. The veteran guard is on the hunt for his second-straight All-Star nod after his impressive 2024-2025 campaign.
The Pistons and the Pacers will battle it out at 7 PM ET on Monday.
