Fine-dining Plaza restaurant and KC grill are coming to Johnson County

The Capital Grille is coming to Overland Park.
Developers have signed leases for two popular restaurants at a Johnson County site.
The Capital Grille and Yard House — both chains with a presence in Kansas City — are coming to Overland Park.
HCW Development will welcome the two restaurants to its mixed-use site at 115th Street and Nall Avenue. Previously, developers announced a four-story AC Hotel by Marriott at the same site.
Bill Maas, Realtor with Block & Company, Inc., represented the developer in the deal alongside Daniel Brocato. Maas said the two restaurants are about nine months out from completion.
Both The Capital Grille and Yard House are owned by Orlando-based Darden Restaurants. Darden also owns Olive Garden, Long Horn Steakhouse, Seasons 52, Eddie V’s, Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen and more.
The Capital Grille has a location on the Country Club Plaza at 4760 Broadway St. It offers seafood, steak and other upscale menu items.
Yard House has a downtown spot at 1300 Main St. and 1863 Village West Parkway in Kansas City, Kansas (at Tanger Kansas City at the Legends). It boasts of a vast selection of beer, pizza, wings and more.
The spot neighbors newly built entertainment center Andretti Indoor Karting & Games, set to open Nov. 18.
