Dakota Mortensen is in the hot seat once again over another cheating allegation in The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives season 3.
Dakota and Taylor Frankie Paul‘s on-again-off-again relationship has dominated her storylines for the past three seasons, and things got even more complicated for the co-parents in season 3 after trying to take another shot at their romance.
After getting their romance back during a trip to California for Stagecoach, Taylor and Dakota, who are parents to a 1-year-old son Ever, are rocked by the revelation that Dakota was sexting one of Taylor’s mom’s friends. We’ll let you re-read that so it sinks in.

Who Did Dakota Cheat on Taylor With?
In season 3 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, Taylor learns that Dakota was sending sexual messages to a “family friend” of many years. The woman is not named.

Jessi Ngatikaura’s husband, Jordan, reveals the fling to his wife on the way home from Stagecoach. “During one of the time’s they were broken up, [Taylor’s mom] Liann’s friend reached out to him and was just checking in on him. He felt it was a safe place, and she started hitting on him, and it turned kind of sexual,” he explains.
Later, when Taylor and her mom call the friend to confront her about the claim, her name is bleeped out and her voice is altered.
It’s unclear exactly when Dakota’s relationship with the woman took place, but Taylor says it was before she got pregnant with their son, who was born in March 2024. Taylor and Dakota started dating in 2022.
While the fling may not technically be considered cheating, due to the fact that it happened during a breakup, Taylor describes the woman as “basically a family member,” meaning the betrayal cuts deep.

“I’m thinking back to our family parties when I’m pregnant,” Taylor says at one point. “There’s a picture of him holding my belly, and she’s like right there next to us.”
Taylor then declares this her last straw and rules out any reconciliation with Dakota in the future. “This is not mendable. I think what broke my heart is maybe I had a glimmer of hope this last week, but now there’s nothing. I will never, ever, ever consider you ever again,” she says. Onwards and upwards to the next season of The Bachelorette!
Dakota Previously Cheated With a Woman Named Jenna
In season 2, Taylor learns that Dakota cheated on her with a woman named Jenna early in their relationship.
Mayci Neely and Taylor meet up with Jenna together, and she tells them that Dakota “spent the night more than once.”
“We never had sex for sure,” she adds. “I feel like we did a little bit more than just making out. Like we probably just did hand stuff. I don’t think I would have done it to him, though, because being raised Mormon, I was like, ‘Oh, I’m sinning.’”
Taylor, who previously confronted Dakota about the cheating, says her then-boyfriend “lied a ton” to cover his tracks.

“He made it seem like she was the one that was always instigating and begging. No, it was him,” Taylor says in a confessional. “He said he had just kissed her on the couch. No, he went on the couch, they hooked up on the couch, and then they went to the room and they hooked up.” This prompts Taylor to kick Dakota out of her home.
In season 3, Taylor makes it clear that there have been other cheating allegations against Dakota, saying, “This sucks so bad, because it’s like, a fourth girl? A fourth one?”
After her final split from Dakota, Taylor signed on to be the next Bachelorette in a season that will begin in January 2026.
