‘Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ Cast Slams Dakota for Allegedly Sexting Taylor Frankie Paul’s Family Friend

Taylor Frankie Paul may be looking for love on this upcoming season of The Bachelorette, but her other show, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, just premiered its third season on November 13. One of the plotlines this season centers on her ex, Dakota Mortensen, who allegedly sexted one of her mom’s friends while they were already broken up.
As the new batch of Mormon Wives episodes dropped, Dakota alluded to the drama when he posted a TikTok. In the clip, he lip-syncs to the infamous scene from Friends, where Ross tells Rachel “We were on a break!”
“Also never touched another woman ever,” Dakota captioned the post, which only stirred the pot even more.
Of course, Taylor’s ex didn’t get away with posting this defense unscathed. Several MomTok members came to her defense in the comments section of his TikTok.
“You’re looking real brave since taylor doesn’t have access to her phone to clap back,” Layla Taylor wrote, referring to Taylor’s filming schedule for The Bachelorette. “One more time for you since you have a hard time comprehending, it’s not what you did, it’s WHO it was with.”
It wasn’t long until Dakota clapped back, writing, “Hey remember how I’ve been labeled a cheater for 3 years when I’ve never cheated. You’re basing it off one incident. Sorry also isn’t okay and I have every right to defend that. We all know who is really afraid of Tay 🥰.”

Mayci Neeley also chimed in. “*We were on a break so I tried to hookup with someone Taylor considered a family member,*” she wrote, adding, “DAKOTA this is when you take the L and apologize not double down.”
Dakota responded to Mayci, too, saying, “Ha wait I never tried to hook up with anyone. 🤦♂️sometimes I wish you guys would actually come to me for my side. I think it’s the most frustrating part about all this.”
Just when we thought the comment section clapbacks were over, Mikayla Matthews slammed Dakota for his actions, despite the possibility that he and Taylor were already broken up when it went down.
“Oh you were on a break? That makes things SOOO much better,” she wrote alongside an eye-roll emoji, to which Dakota replied, “You know she broke up with me.. ha don’t play that.”
While it seemed like there may have been a chance for reconciliation between Taylor and Dakota during this season of SLOMW, it all fell through when she confronted him and her mom’s friend about the text messages. After admitting that she had sent him intimate photos, Dakota didn’t appear in the season 3 finale.
