Rusty’s First Alert 6 Forecast: Spotty showers build in later Monday

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Clouds are increasing this morning ahead of what may be a few spotty showers or drizzle as we get close to lunch. Then spotty showers are possible this afternoon into the evening. Most of the rain should be rather light though. Highs will climb into the mid 50s with the clouds too.

A few storms are possible this evening and overnight with any spotty areas of rain that continue to develop too. Rain chances linger through about 7am Tuesday too.

The wind will be a little pesky today too with some gusts out of the southeast up to 30 mph likely.

Tuesday has all the makings of a cooler and cloudy day with highs near 50 degrees. North wind gusts up near 15-20 mph will help to keep it cooler too.

Temperatures start to rebound some Wednesday afternoon with a high in the upper 50s. That should continue Thursday too. Friday brings another round of rain potential, especially near and south of I-80.

Overall it looks like it will stay rather mild leading up to the Thanksgiving holiday late next week. Unfortunately the weather looks to take a colder turn by the end of next week near Thanksgiving. Odds heavily lean towards a cold blast rolling in late next week. The duration and intensity of it are unclear at this time. There could easily be some wintry precipitation along with it as well so stay tuned if you have any travel plans.
