Ducks centre Ryan Strome set for season debut against Red Wings

The Anaheim Ducks centre will make his season debut in Detroit against the Red Wings on Thursday.
Strome, 32, missed his team’s first 16 games with an upper-body injury sustained during the pre-season. He suited up in all 82 games for the Ducks last season, putting up 10 goals and 31 assists.
The Mississauga, Ont., native is going into his fourth season in Anaheim. He signed a five-year contract with the team in 2022.
Meanwhile, Strome’s linemate Mikael Granlund is also returning after missing eight games with a lower-body injury.
The Finn was scoring at a point-per-game pace in eight games (two goals, six assists) prior to being sidelined.
Anaheim is coming off of a loss to Colorado on Tuesday, but still leads the NHL’s Pacific Division with 23 points.
