Tracking an overnight snowfall for some – Chris

Good Monday evening to you! We’re tracking a quick–moving system tonight that could make for a tricky Tuesday morning — but the impacts won’t be the same for everyone.
Rain is already moving in across parts of the region, and as temperatures hover near freezing overnight, a slushy 1–3 inches is expected south of the Minnesota River. That’s where roads could be slick early Tuesday, and commuters in the south metro may want to build in a few extra minutes.
For the core and north metro, impacts look much lighter. Many locations there may see little to no accumulation, meaning travel issues should be minimal Tuesday morning.
Snow tapers by midday, and the rest of Tuesday stays mostly cloudy with highs in the low 40s.
From there, we turn our attention toward the Thanksgiving travel period, which — for now — looks cooperative. Wednesday brings cool breezes and a few patches of drizzle, but Thursday through Sunday trend milder and mainly dry, a welcome setup for anyone driving or flying for the holiday.
Enjoy the evening, and take care!
