Huge international pop star spotted in Oz

She might’ve been doing her best to go undercover at Sydney Airport, but there was no hiding the star power strutting through the international terminal when Olivia Dean landed in Oz this week.

Covered up in a Burberry scarf wrapped around her head with a red baseball cap underneath and red tinted sunglasses to help with the disguise, the UK pop star cut a stylish yet low-key figure as she wheeled her own luggage through the airport with her casual ensemble matched with B&W headphones and a Chanel purse.

The Nice To Each Other hit maker, 26, is in town for this year’s ARIA Awards, where she will be attending as the big international guest.

Her appearance at the Aussie event is one that certainly reflects her recent wave of success.

Earlier this year, the Grammy-nominated star (for Best New Artist) visited Australia for the first time for the 2025 Laneway Festival held at Sydney’s Centennial Park, where she performed alongside the likes of Charli XCX.

Her headline shows in Sydney and Melbourne sold out in under an hour, cementing her October 2026 Australian arena tour as the event everyone wanted a piece of.

While she’s enjoying her time at the top of the charts and carving out her own career, Olivia has honed her craft by working closely with other artists who have celebrated their own global success. But when the spotlight is shone solely on her on stage, that’s when the singer-songwriter truly feels alive.

“I love playing shows so much,” she told Rolling Stone.

“It’s the thing that makes me feel most useful in my life, and it’s something that I really love to do.”

No matter the place or crowd, the thrill to do something she loves is always immense.

“I don’t really get nervous. I just get intensely excited. It’s all about being with people. While I love to sing personally, for myself, I find shows are the closest thing to this … it sounds kind of cliche, but … spirituality. I just feel it’s such a powerful thing.”

Olivia’s ARIA appearance has been hailed as one of the most anticipated live performances, with the star joining a long list of A-list performers before her including Pink, Alicia Keys, Billie Eilish, Ed Sheeran and more.

No doubt her hit tracks will get the crowd of Aussies up to their feet in seconds.
